growth hacking vs traditional marketing

While weighing the pros and cons of growth hacking and traditional marketing,we come across the following results:
GROWTH HACKING
  • Growth hacking is done by people having knowledge of the technical aspects.
  • The person has the right amount of analytical skills and is ingenious in finding solutions for a given dataset.
  • A growth hacker makes a product that people "WANT".
  • A growth hacker believes in "ZERO"or very little initial investment.
  • A growth hacker makes sure the product goes viral by itself. For example:consider the case of an app named xxx which is used for messaging on the social platform. All the growth hacker does is placing a small post saying "download this app and upon referral get 50 bucks talktime free" .This message plays with the human psychology thereby compelling a person to download the app.
  • The result of the product is measured using different metrics.

TRADITIONAL MARKETING

  • Traditional marketers belong to the economic, business, creative or artistic background.
  • Traditional markets use traditional methods of advertising such as placing advertisements in the radio, television or newspapers.
  • Traditional marketers deal with a lot of initial investment riding on their backs and if the product fails it leads to huge irreparable losses.
  • Traditional marketers "MAKE" the people want the product.
  • The result of the product is not measurable.

#newbie to growth hacking

As a newbie to growth hacking,i was intrigued by the concept that can help tech startups make big bucks without any initial investment. The traditional way of marketing via countless adds through the radio and television is losing its significance.Since the information technology sector is booming at a rapid pace,we need a means to spend less on marketing the product and more on improving its quality. All people need to do is to think out of the box and read peoples minds.
Growth hacking basically transforms the product entirely by giving it a special look and feel  so that the product goes viral and creates a buzz in the news by itself.Growth hacking is as simple as placing a small post at the bottom of apps or even websites.growth hacking doesnt need money to hire actors to promote a product but instead it needs a group of people who can do a number of things from carrying out  surveys to interpreting them so as to focus on the needs/suggestions of the common man.
